This book tries to provide a theoretical aprooach to peacekeeping negotiation. Despite all their efforts, all the authors conclude that providing a theoretical basis for negotiation is close to impossible and recomend a case by case approach, in which theory is left behind...

The definition of La Douleur Exquise is the heart wrenching pain of wanting someone you can't have, and this book from J.R. Rogue lives up to its title. The poems contained within the pages are heart wrenching, and soul consuming. They are real, and I felt all of the heart ache that Rogue pulled from the depths of her soul.I tried to pick a piece from the book that I could choose as a favorite, but the fact is that I found myself identifying with everything. There is not a poem in those pages that deserves more praise than the one before it. Every line written is as beautiful as it is painful, and I found myself constantly drawing from that pain. There is not one person on the planet that has never felt the feelings on these pages, and while reading it was a great reminder that we are never alone. There is always someone out there that has gone through similar instances. This is definitely one book that I will be going through time and time again.I have been a fan of Rogue's for quite some time and when the opportunity arose to review, I was completely all over it. Beautifully heartbreaking

Beautifully heartbreaking words! For anyone who has experienced unrequited love or who has had their heart shattered by love This is for anyone who loves poetry, or even if you've never read a single poem in your life. It's (currently)set as a great price for kindle, so get it now!

“there's un-forgiveness
climbing up your spine.
I had to go before it covered
your eyes.”

I discovered her because one of my favorite authors posted some of her work on Instagram. I immediately fell in love with the sadness in her words and was looking for more of her work. I was so excited when I found out she was releasing a collection of her work and immediately pre-ordered this. This surpassed all of my expectations! I can't describe the emotional puddle I become every time I read this.

“I think I can feel it
most days
in the in-between;
you spell my name in strange
ways- b l a m e.”

You can feel Jen’s pain through her tragic words. It's amazing how intimate poetry can be, it feels like she gave us a huge part of herself. Her words read like a classic already. She is easily my new favorite poet of our time!!!

Thought-Provoking and Genuine.

"For every lover who has tasted the unrequited kind, too many times."

Before I even began reading the poems, from just this line, I knew this would be a great read. I connected instantaneously and the poems that followed surely didn't disappoint. J.R. Rogue writes in such a raw, honest way - it's beautiful.

It reads like a journey, rather than a random string of poems. It's very cathartic, I was completely unable put it down - at the beginning, I related so strongly to that heartache, but by the end I wanted to feel that same release felt in the last poem. I love that it's honest, I love that it doesn't sugarcoat love as something that is always beautiful and perfect, but simultaneously still offers the hope that things will improve and we can stitch ourselves up and continue on. Highly recommend.

Emotive poetry for those who love and have once loved

I'm a lover of the poetry J.R. Rogue shares for free on Instagram. I wanted to support and thank her for sharing her emotive words with us and purchasing this collection with the lovely, illustrated cover was definitely the way to go.

I thought I was going to read only a couple poems a day (ya know, spread them out a bit) but then I finished it in a day. No regrets lol. Although I will be returning to this collection again after I experience a heartbreak like these.

Great review books for step 1

Great review books for step 1. Especially Biochemistry, Microbiology and Immunology, Pharmacology and Physiology are great. It contains all the high yield information. Compared to first aid these book offer a lot more information for understanding concepts.
I didn't use a book for behavioral sciences, just did questions. Embryology is good but for Anatomy I definitely recommend a book that has more pictures. The concept of the pathology part was not for me either so I used pathoma instead.

While obviously expensive (as text books always are), I'm not a huge fan of loose leaf books. I do like that this has basically the books for 2 semesters of courses in one (at my school-Accounting 101 and 102) so that helps ease the expense a bit.

A Good Start

I have been working through this book for about a month, and find that it follows a logical progression through AutoCAD MEP. It does not claim to be a reference book, but I intend to refer to it.

I have found one mistake, but working through it only made me more aware of the features of the program.

I'm looking forward to working through the rest of the book.

This wasn't really what I was looking for. I want a book that has shortcuts, tips and command instructions. I want a reference book, not a tutorial, which this book basically is. It is excellent if that is what you need.

the most important structures book for architects

This is ASTRONOMICALLY THE BEST architectural structures book of all time!! This is the second book for a serious architecture student or architect to buy after Deplazes' foundation book. My structures education was so frustrating because it was not VISUAL. I longed for a book like this 20 years ago!! But better than I could have ever imagined, this book is intensely visual, almost no numbers, instead an encyclopedic catalogue of structural spanning options in a maniacally ordered logic, drawn with a sweet German version of Ching's style. Just skimming this book several times will aquaint you with the logic, the systems, the options, and the breathtaking possibilities this great book throws at your feet. "Take that", it says, "and go do something great!"

Another reviewer mentioned that this book is the most important structures book for architects. I would agree, but do not necessarily agree that it cannot be read as a standalone book. There is a lot of intuitive insight that can be gained from this book with no prior learning, but the reader must pay close attention and have a very good idea of how to visualize forces and their impact on structures. Readers looking for a technical manual will be sorely disappointed as all the technical details are expected to be provided by the readers themselves.

With that said, I was able to read this book without any formal knowledge of structural statics and grasp many of the concepts on the first try. But coupled with hands-on structural learning material such as Form and Forces by Edward Allen and Waclaw Zalewski the information will become instantly powerful and applicable. In fact I would say Form and Forces and Structure Systems are the key pieces of a visual understanding of structures combined with the quantitative methods required to design and interpret structures. Start with Form and Forces, then after completing all the exercises therein, pick this up and read ALL of it. It is not just a guide for daydreaming or slick collection of nice line drawings - it is a user's manual for those bold and imaginative enough to use it as such.

Many own it, few have really read it, and fewer still have actually used it. Be one of the latter and you'll blow people away.

Very exciting diagrams!

Lots of excellent diagrams illustrating structural systems. This book is an encyclopedia of structural diagrams for architects. Structural engineers will find it useful as well. The diagrams are explained quite well. The reader should have a sound understanding of basic structural behavior to fully appreciate this book. It's a picture book and not a book which explains any calculations. Excellent for bedtime reading and fantasizing.

Wish there would have been a better description. There is an eTextbook for this book; it is available through Pearson's website. Unfortunately, the textbook from amazon did not include the eTextbook or other online resources. The access code sold alone with the eTextbook is $156.20 on the Pearson website. Hope this helps someone!

It looks like a great textbook, though. Solid. Wish that there was an easy PDF form that came with the amazon purchase, though!

Refreshing yet informative

Even though I do know my biology well, this book offers other perspectives and is backed up by experimental data as well. Its vivid and well placed illustrations helped me to refresh my concepts and though it is a little on the thicker side, I recommend this book for a strong foundation in biochemistry. Even for those who are "seasoned" in Biology, this book does stretch your understanding further and you will definitely get fresh insights.

Being a biochemistry major I found this book to be one the best books out there. Very easy to follow and makes the material easier to read and understand. The illustrations and diagrams in the book are some of the best ive come across. I recommend this text book over any text book out there for other college students. Im keeping mine even after I graduate just to have in the future for a point of reference
